BLD (B Corp Leadership Development) is an all-day conference intended to strengthen and support the B Corp movement. BLD events provide an avenue for employees of Certified B Corps and others interested in the movement to network, collaborate, and share best practices for business success and maximum positive impact.
BLD (Y)OUR IMPACT: Beyond Good Vibes
The Melody Event Center in Portland, Oregon
June 1, 2023
This year's conference theme - BLD (Y)OUR IMPACT - seeks to activate our notion of collective impact. Attendees will consider the ways their individual commitments and actions ripple out and weave together within this business ecosystem to make it possible to achieve impact at scale. How do we foster collaboration within and across industries? Where does the collective begin, and how do we nurture it? We will then take a step beyond the B Impact Assessment and all the good feelings that come with certification to explore impact itself. How do we define, track, measure, and share it? What can we learn from each other, and how does community strength become a leverage point for greater impact?
BLD PNW 2023 will encourage openness and interaction. Alongside structured opportunities for connection, most sessions will focus on engagement and exchange. Whether you are new to the movement, a longtime ally, or simply curious and supportive or purpose driven business, we invite you to join us at The Melody on Thursday, June 1.
This year, BLD PNW attendees are invited to bring a gently used pair of shoes for our nonprofit partner, Sidewalk PDX. Focused on sustainability and social impact, Sidewalk believes that every journey has a purpose, and every shoe has a story to tell. The organization collects and distributes gently used shoes - especially children's sneakers - through community partnerships. We'll have bins available on-site for you to place donated shoes, and in this way you can start off your BLD PNW day with a positive impact!
